The Secret about Secrets

I guess the secret is finally out. You really can fool some of the people all of the time. No, actually, that's not it. That's pretty widely known to be a proven fact, especially among politicians and other charlatans. No, the real secret about secrets is that they won't make you rich unless you offer to sell them to everyone willing to buy them on the cheap. That's the secret formula: do a little research to discover which of the top get rich quick formulas of the past has not been recently promoted. Re-package that formula in a new book or film or both. Then market it like crazy, offering to share your secret with everyone. By the time they've figured out that the real secret to success is in selling secrets to success, you'll be rich enough not to have to worry that everyone now knows your secret.

Wait a minute. Why am I sharing this and not selling it? Well, if you want to send some money my way as a sign of gratitude, I won't stop you. Put some cash (not checks or money orders, please) in an unmarked envelope and send it to me right here at my blog via the Internet. Or, if you'd prefer, you can send it directly to one of my operatives in Nigeria. In return they'll deposit several million dollars or pounds in your bank account. But don't tell anyone about this. Let's keep it our little secret.
