And so it goes

This will be my final comment on the American penchant for shooting one another. Since my last post there has been a fairly steady stream of gun violence. Perhaps the media have simply decided to make more  of these newsworthy moments of Americana. I believe today there was a shooting in New York City outside the venerable Empire State Building. But I wonder: when something becomes so commonplace, is it any longer news?
